Leopardo has completed a 5,000-square-foot renovation of the Von Maur fashion retail store Dry Goods in Deer Park, Illinois, one of the largest locations in the country. After announcing the opening of 19 new stores in seven states, Leopardo was selected to complete five stores as part of the phased rollout in Illinois, Tennessee and Oklahoma.
The new store features a comfortable design and layout, offering pleasant shopping and working environments, with a new storefront marquee and blade signage, custom cashwrap millwork and trim/crown molding throughout, as well as new camera, burglar, audio, phone/data and fire alarm systems.
Work also consisted of the reconstruction of the back housing area, the installation of an elaborate custom mosaic ceramic tile sales floor pattern and the tying of new HVAC ductwork into the existing system. Leopardo, serving as general contractor, collaborated with architect Shive Hattery to complete the project. Additional locations in Illinois, Tennessee and Oklahoma are set to be completed by fall 2019.
