Leopardo has completed renovations at 35 W. Wacker Drive in Chicago’s Loop, converting a vacant space into a fitness center. Work was completed as part of a building amenities upgrade, relocating the tenant gym from across the street at 55 W. Wacker Drive to the main building.
Designed by Interior Architects, the renovations included locker rooms and shower stalls with plumbing upgrades and pipe sizing for better shower water pressure. The fitness center offers cardio, free weight areas, as well as a spin room and group fitness area.
Acoustically rated ceilings, walls and floors mitigate sound disruption to the neighboring tenants. Three 2,500-pound tuned mass dampers installed under the group fitness rooms divert shock and vibration to the building’s structural core.
