The Opus Group and USAA Real Estate announced that a 423,726-square-foot industrial warehouse has been fully leased to Expeditors International. The logistics company specializing in warehousing and distribution services will soon move into the space located at 10 Falcon Court in Streamwood, Illinois.
“Our team looks forward to serving Expeditor’s growth and building out a space that meets their needs now and in the future,” said Mike Yungerman, vice president, general manager, Opus Development Company, L.L.C. “This was one of the only industrial buildings larger than 200,000 square feet in the submarket to meet their distribution demands.”
Situated on 35 acres of land near the Elgin-O’Hare Expressway, the tenant will have convenient access to Interstates 390, 355 and 294 and to O’Hare International Airport. The building will feature 32-foot clear height, 48 exterior truck docks, up to 55 trailer parking stalls and 193 parking spaces. The build out is slated for completion in fall 2018.
Opus’ recent portfolio of work includes more than 6.9 million square feet of industrial developments currently under construction or completed in the past 24 months across the United States. Opus also worked with USAA Real Estate on the successful I-88 Gateway Logistics Center located in North Aurora.
Opus Design Build, L.L.C. was the design-builder for this development and is completing the build out for Expeditors International. Opus AE Group, L.L.C. was the architect and engineer of record while a joint venture between Opus Development Company, L.L.C. and USAA Real Estate own the building. Doug Pilcher, Jason West and Sean Henrick represented the tenant in leasing the space. David Prell and Kevin Segerson of CBRE represented the landlord.
