MAG Capital Partners, LLC, completed its acquisition of a 186,088-square-foot manufacturing facility at 596 Industrial Park Road in Piney Flats, Tennessee, in a sale-leaseback transaction.
The 21.95-acre site serves as the global headquarters for Microporous, an international developer and supplier of rubber and polyethylene battery separators It is the company’s sole location in North America.
The purchase follows a $20 million capital investment by Microporous and its owner Ardian in 2019-2020 that expanded the manufacturing operation by 36,000 square feet, included new equipment and technology and tripled the facility’s output.
Barnes & Thornburg represented MAG Capital Partners in the transaction. Financial terms of the sale were undisclosed.
