Englander Bedding Company, a manufacturer of mattresses, has recently purchased the former SK Hand Tool Corporation facility at 3535 W. 47th Street, Chicago.
Englander Bedding purchased this 158,930-square-foot, one-story facility to meet the company’s need for additional space. According to its President, Ed Ciolkosz, 2010 was Englander Bedding’s best year ever and the building acquisition was an important part of the company’s expansion plans.
Ciolkosz also stated that having the new facility just a block away from his current facilities was another major benefit. Matt Rogatz of Chicago Industrial Real Estate represented Englander Bedding Company while Tom Condon and Vern Schultz of Colliers International represented ownership.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
