MB Real Estate’s Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Leasing Services Mark Buth and Vice President Kathleen Bertrand have completed 26 lease transactions totaling 260,000 square feet to-date this year at Michigan Plaza. Building ownership was represented by Buth and Bertrand in 90,000 square feet of new leases and 170,000 square feet of lease renewals.
Among the top transactions was a 78,000-square-foot lease renewal for the headquarters of Cramer-Krasselt at 225 N. Michigan. Cramer-Krasselt, founded in 1898, is the nation’s second largest independent communications agency. The firm has been a tenant of Michigan Plaza since 1985, when it first leased 12,400 square feet. Cramer-Krasselt was represented by S. Ralph Gerbie and Steve Schneider of UGL Services.
Gannett Company Inc., a media and marketing solutions company, also completed a lease renewal at Michigan Plaza. The new lease included an expansion which took the firm’s occupancy to 49,000 square feet. The new lease will enable Gannett to expand its space from 225 N. Michigan into 205 N. Michigan for contiguous space on the 16th floor. Meredith LaPier, Lisa Konieczka and Peter Delneky of CBRE represented Gannett.
In another lease renewal, Prescott Medical Communications Group signed for 22,200 square feet, a full-floor within 205 N. Michigan. Prescott Medical Communications Group is a medical education and communications company which has been located within Michigan Plaza since 2004. The tenant was represented by Brett Opie of Development Resources Inc.
Finally, Buth and Bertrand represented ownership in a 22,000-square-foot, full-floor lease to InTouch Solutions at 205 N. Michigan. InTouch Solutions is the only digital marketing communications agency exclusively dedicated to servicing pharmaceutical brands. The firm is relocating from 500 N. Michigan Ave. to the East Loop location to accommodate its growth and gain access to the numerous amenities available at Michigan Plaza. InTouch Solutions was represented by Marc Westmeyer of Jameson Commercial.
