McShane Construction Company has been selected by developer, Essex Communities, to complete its third phase of development at The Lodge of Northbrook. This luxury, active senior living community is located on a six-acre site at 2220 Founders Drive in Northbrook, Illinois, a north suburban community of Chicago.
After successfully completing the original 58-unit Phase I and the new 20-unit Phase II at The Lodge of Northbrook, McShane Construction is currently underway with the comprehensive construction of the 37,880 square foot Phase III expansion. The new component will incorporate 18 additional fully-featured one- and two-bedroom units and two-bedroom with den configurations into the residential complex. Each private residence will be complete with spacious kitchens, a private patio terrace, large closets, and in-unit washers and dryers together with upscale finishes including granite countertops, hardwood flooring in the kitchen and foyer and stainless steel appliances.
The expanded area of the residence provides seamless integration to the amenities provided at The Lodge and to the development’s underground parking garage that was completed by McShane in the first and second phases of development. The Phase III component includes an additional elevator, a new informal dining room and an underground parking expansion. Exterior finishes of the new phase will mirror the existing residential structure utilizing the same masonry façade, window systems and color scheme.
“We are delighted to continue this tradition of successful construction deliveries at The Lodge of Northbrook on behalf of our valued client, Essex Communities,” remarked Raday. “Our team is dedicated to serving our client and the residents within this luxury independent senior living brand by providing our best-in-class construction services that is a hallmark of this development’s continued success.”
JSSH Architects, Inc., architect of Phase I and II, will provide the architectural services for Phase III of the development that will be completed in December 2015.
