Senior Vice President of McShane Construction Company‘s Southeast Region, Scott J. Hoppa, announced the recent construction award of Springs at Waukee by developer and long-standing client, Continental Properties, Inc.
Located at 500 NE Horizon Drive in Waukee, Iowa, situated just 16.5 miles west of Des Moines, the 260-unit luxury complex will be delivered in phases. McShane Construction will complete the initial residential building and clubhouse in Fourth Quarter 2014 followed by the delivery of the entire residential project in Fourth Quarter 2015.
The new 14-building development will include 28 studios, 92 one-, 102 two- and 38 three-bedroom units accessed through private, ground-level entries. Each unit will incorporate an open kitchen concept complete with modern appliances, an island and breakfast bar together with in-unit washers and dryers, walk-in closets, central heating and cooling, hardwood-style flooring and crown molding. Select residences will also feature balconies or patios, granite countertops and an attached or detached parking garage as part of the residential building or within one of three separate structured parking decks.
Springs at Waukee will offer well-appointed tenant amenities including a secure gated entry, leash-free dog park and car wash center. The complex will also incorporate an exclusive community clubhouse with a 24-hour fitness center and direct access to a resort-style swimming pool and outdoor entertainment areas. As part of the assignment, McShane Construction will also complete a separate on-site maintenance building and all associated sitework including landscaping and generous paved parking.
