McShane earns lifetime achievement award from Chicago branch of Urban Land Institute

James McShane, chief executive officer of Chicago’s The McShane Companies, was honored Dec. 1 at the 22nd annual ULI Chicago Lifetime Achievement Award Dinner.

The Urban Land Institute’s Chicago District Council each year honors an industry leader who has had significant influence in the growth and development of Chicago’s real estate community. The council also considers the civic, charitable and philanthropic endeavors.

McShane founded The McShane Companies 32 years ago. He also invests his time in several philanthropic organizations, including Concern Worldwide U.S., a global humanitarian organization that helps those living in the world’s poorest countries.
