Merchants Bank hired John Forssander as a mortgage loan originator for Merchants Mortgage, a division of Merchants Bank. He will join the mortgage team operating out of the company’s Oak Brook, Illinois, office.
Forssander brings a wealth of origination experience to Merchants Mortgage as they work to expand their presence in the Chicago market.
Forssander is a mortgage veteran penning more than 25 years of experience across various mortgage companies most recently serving as a senior mortgage advisor at ACB Mortgage Group. In this role, he held the responsibility of managing a construction loan portfolio, processing loan advances and reductions, tracking insurance and more. Forssander also held positions at U.S. Bank where he was a mortgage originator and construction specialist.
Forssander is a graduate of Western Illinois University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business, management and finance.
