Meridian Design Build recently relocated their corporate headquarters from Deerfield, IL to a substantially larger space within Pointe O’Hare, an 11-story office building located at 9550 W. Higgins Road in Rosemont, IL. Meridian, a national design-build general contracting firm, constructed 11,500 square feet of new space on the 4th floor of the Class A building with technology and future growth in mind.
“It was important for us to find a modern building that offered onsite amenities for our employees such as a full-service deli, fitness facilities and covered parking,” said Paul Chuma, president and co-founder of the company. Howard Green, executive vice president and co-founder, added, “The proximity to O’Hare International Airport, I-294 and I-90 will provide us with the ability to more easily access our local, regional and national clients and construction sites.”
The new space features several collaborative meeting/work areas including a café and huddle lounge. Wall-mounted TVs with wireless connectivity were installed throughout the space to streamline information sharing. Energy efficient LED lighting was installed and a significant amount of interior glazing was incorporated into the design to promote the flow of natural light throughout the space.
Architectural services for the project were provided by Partners in Design Architects. Michael J. Flynn, Jason Wurtz and Larry Much of NAI Hiffman represented Meridian in the lease transaction. Pointe O’Hare is owned and managed by Equity Office.
