Meridian Design Build recently completed construction on a 153,000-square-foot manufacturing building for developer SunCap Properties in Lancaster, Ohio.
The new facility will serve as Magna Seating’s first dedicated automobile seat structure plant in the United States.
Magna took occupancy of the building earlier this year. It is anticipated that operations there will bring more than 300 jobs to the area. The new plant, one of the largest private investments in Fairfield County in the last 20 years, incorporates state-of-the-art manufacturing technology including robotic lasers and MIG welding equipment.
The 30-foot clear building features 24,000 square feet of corporate office/lab facilities, a 400-car employee parking lot, 24 loading positions and 7,000 square feet of outside storage.
Meridian completed the project on a design-build basis with architectural services provided by Ware Malcomb. Civil engineering services were provided by EMH&T.
