Mia Rose Holdings started construction of its first multifamily development in Illinois. The Meridian will be a 144-unit Class-A luxury rental community in Glen Carbon, Illinois.
At the intersection of Highway 157 and North Meridian Road, the location is ideal with proximity to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) and the development is part of Meridian Plaza, a broader mixed-use development featuring retail and commercial uses. Meridian Plaza will include high-quality commercial and office space.
Site preparation is underway on the 11-acre site and vertical construction is scheduled to begin in June. The property will welcome residents in the Spring of 2025. The Meridian will feature 110,000 square feet spread across 4, three-story buildings and a one-story clubhouse.
The property’s 72 one-bedroom units, 66 two-bedroom units, and 6 three-bedroom units will feature high-end interior and exterior finishes. The site will have a resort-style pool, professional-grade fitness center, dog park, garages, walking paths around the community ponds, and connectivity to the retail and commercial uses of Meridian Plaza to appeal to a wide range of residents desiring a maintenance-free, amenity-filled lifestyle.
The project’s general contractor is Midas Construction, and the architect is Rosemann & Associates. TWM, Inc. of Swansea, Illinois is providing civil engineering. The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineer (MEP) is Engenuity, and the property manager will be 2B Residential.
