Michael Cassa, president of Downers Grove Economic Development Corporation and Member of the IEDC Public Policy Committee, and Ivan Baker, director of Tinley Park Economic Development and IEDC Board Member, represented Illinois at the White House Economic Development Summit in late July.
A total of 60 economic developers from around the nation met at the White House with Administration officials as part of the event sponsored by Select USA, Department of Commerce, and the White House Business Council. Key topics included International Trade, Manufacturing Policy, and Infrastructure development.
