The 2019 Jury of Fellows from the American Institute of Architects recently elevated Tom Hoskens, vice president and founding principal of Minneapolis-based Cuningham Group Architecture to Fellowship.
Hoskens was elevated to Fellowship because of his expertise and influence within the Native American gaming and entertainment industry.
Since 1991, Hoskens has led more than 100 entertainment architecture projects for 36 tribes in 18 states, and their economic and social benefits have touched hundreds of thousands of people. Throughout his career, he has proved that gaming success can lead to opportunities to shape schools, community centers, health services and more.
Hoskens is known for his philosophy that “Every Building Tells a Story.” His design leadership has moved the design of casinos beyond “theming” to the creation of true works of architecture that express tribal culture.
