Minneapolis-based Oppidan Investment Company will provide construction management services to CARBO® Ceramics, Inc., the world’s largest supplier of ceramic proppant for fracturing oil and gas wells, as the company renovates its existing manufacturing facility in New Iberia, La.
Work on the 374-foot-by-200-foot facility will include a full roof replacement as well the addition and replacement of other structural components. Construction began on July 28 and is expected to conclude on November 30.
This is the sixth CARBO project on which Oppidan has served as construction manager. Last fall, CARBO began construction on new distribution facilities in East Fairview, N.D., and McCamey, Texas, as well as expansion efforts on its existing distribution facilities in Douglas, N.D., and Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada.
