Minneapolis’ Ryan Companies names chief investment officer

Minneapolis-based Ryan Companies US, Inc. appointed Kevin Mulhall as Chief Investment Officer.

Bringing more than 30 years of experience in real estate investment and development, Mulhall will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the company as it relates to debt and equity partners, capital markets, and portfolio/asset management.

In his new role, Mulhall will lead the company’s capital strategy, focusing on expanding sources of debt and equity while further strengthening key relationships with investors, partners and financial institutions. He will oversee investment opportunities across various sectors and regions, guide the team’s management of the debt portfolio, and ensure optimal asset performance. Additionally, Mulhall will drive risk management initiatives, stay ahead of emerging trends, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the company.

Most recently, Mulhall served as the Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer at Creek Lane Capital, a firm he co-founded. He is an influential council member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the advisory boards of both the Fitzgerald Institute of Real Estate and the School of Architecture at the University of Notre Dame. Mulhall earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and his master’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Mulhall succeeds Mike McElroy, who has transitioned into an executive advisory role.
