The Belton Planning Commission has approved Cracker Barrel’s plans to construct a 9,170-square foot restaurant and gift shop in the Cornerstone Pointe development on the southeast corner of 163rd Street and Interstate-49 in Belton, Missouri. The store will be Cracker Barrel’s first location in Cass County and its 18th in the state of Missouri.

Construction is expected by begin in November, with an opening by May of 2018. Located adjacent to the Hampton Inn just east of I-49, the restaurant is expected to help attract additional retail activity to the 22-acre Cornerstone Pointe development. Local developer Steve Havens owns the property, which is being marketed by Lane4 Property Group and is master-planned for more than 90,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

The Belton Planning Commission also approved a special use permit allowing Cracker Barrel to build a 60-foot sign near the interstate. No incentives were requested for the project.
