Willowbrook, Illinois-based Morgan / Harbour Construction, a design-build, general contracting and construction management firm, has raised $25,860 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Morgan / Harbour team members Jim Novak, Ben Warriner, Ryan Frost, Seamus McCarron, Tom Delby, Dave Sonnicksen and Clay Scheller also shaved their heads in solidarity with kids fighting cancer at the Willowbrook event held March 18, 2018 at The Kerry Piper.
“This is the second year for our St. Baldrick’s fundraiser and we are grateful to and humbled by everyone that supported our efforts with generous contributions and team support,” said Ben Warriner, partner and executive vice president of Morgan / Harbour. “Between this year and last, we have raised more than $50,000 for St. Baldrick’s Willowbrook campaign, each time exceeding our goal by almost double. As a company it’s important for us to give back to the community and as individuals we couldn’t be happier to support St. Baldrick’s and their fight against childhood cancers.”
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation coordinates signature head-shaving events worldwide to raise money to support children’s cancer research. It is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more grants than any other organization outside of the U.S. government. Since the foundation’s first grants as an independent charity in 2005, St. Baldrick’s has funded more than $234 million to support childhood cancer research.
