NAI Ruhl Commercial Company brokered the sale of the former Quad-City Times headquarters at 500 E. Third St. in Davenport, Iowa, one of downtown Davenport’s most recognizable commercial properties.
The transaction was exclusively brokered by Rick Schaefer and Charlie Armstrong, SIOR, of NAI Ruhl Commercial Company. The property was acquired by the Geifman Group, a longtime Quad Cities real estate owner and developer. They are planning extensive remodeling for a conversion into a multi-tenant building.
The landmark facility was constructed in 1989 and encompasses approximately 122,800 square feet on 6.25 acres overlooking the Mississippi River. The building includes 41,850 square feet of two-story office space and 80,950 square feet of high-bay production space and warehouse. For more than three decades, it served as the regional headquarters for the Quad-City Times and was home to the newspaper’s editorial, administrative, and printing operations, making it a part of the history of the Quad Cities.
