Fairly often, potential new investors ask us whether our consistently strong investment results are the product of a “secret sauce.” There is no secret sauce, but this question recently triggered an internal discussion to try to define our actual perceived advantage. Our conclusion was that CREC’s superior long-term performance is a result of our size, our ability to be very focused, and our commitment to a highly disciplined investment strategy.

Matthew Hunsaker has been named Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Treasurer at Evansville, Indiana-based Regency Commercial Associates LLC, effective July 1, 2026. Additionally, Hunsaker will serve as a member of the firm’s Executive Management team. Minneapolis' Kraus-Anderson promoted Wayne Gray to CFO of KA’s construction, realty and insurance businesses collectively known as the companies’ operating business units (OBUs).  Tim Asgrimson will continue to serve as the CFO of KA’s holding company.

St. Louis' S. M. Wilson & Co. added Shane Nicolas and Todd Lienemann as Project Superintendents. As the principal representative of S. M. Wilson on the job site, they coordinate all job site activities to ensure the success of the project. Responsibilities include project schedule and quality, worksite safety and adherence to environmental regulations.
