Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) announced that Michael Prost and Sergio Chapa have joined the Chicago (O’Hare) office as senior managing directors. Mr. Prost and Mr. Chapa both specialize in industrial real estate and will focus their efforts on the Lake County and Southern Wisconsin markets. They have been working as a dedicated and highly-accomplished team for over 10 years and hold active real estate broker licenses in both states.
Bringing 45 years of collective commercial and industrial real estate construction, development and brokerage experience to NGKF, Mr. Prost and Mr. Chapa have had substantial success in both real estate agency and tenant representation. Prior to joining NGKF, Mr. Prost and Mr. Chapa served as senior vice president and vice president, respectively, at Lee & Associates. They have operated as a team for the last several years, concentrating on the Lake County and Southeast Wisconsin markets and assisting clients through the real estate purchase, sale and development process. Earlier in his career, Mr. Chapa made a name for himself as a vice president with Wagener Equities, where he completed multi-million dollar transactions and developed a respected reputation in the industry.
Mr. Prost and Mr. Chapa have represented numerous clients throughout their careers including Zilber Property Group, Liberty Property Trust, Venture One, Prologis, Baxter Health Care, Jelly Belly Candy Company, Anthem Memory Care and Volkswagon of America, among others. Mr. Prost and Mr. Chapa both serve as board members of AIRE. Mr. Prost is also active with the Chicago HELP Initiative and is a Special Events Commissioner for the Village of Arlington Heights. Mr. Chapa is an active member of the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
