Nicholas & Associates hired Mark Hans as senior Wisconsin business development manager to help expand the construction firm’s presence and drive growth in the state.
A 15-year veteran in construction business development, Hans will build a pipeline of education, multifamily, industrial, municipal/civic and sports/athletic field projects for Nicholas & Associates, starting in southeast Wisconsin. Hans will be based in the firm’s Milwaukee office until a new headquarters opens later this year in Oconomowoc.
Nicholas & Associates has established a strong footprint as a general contractor across Wisconsin through its multifamily, mixed-use, education and municipal developments. Recent projects include Pabst59, a 59-acre live/work/play community with residential, retail, industrial and other components currently under construction in Oconomowoc; Hub13, a 300-unit apartment development in Oak Creek; The Ruby at Brookfield Square, a 231-unit luxury apartment community in Brookfield; and Sussex Village Park, a $7.8 million project currently under construction in Susex, featuring a pair of park buildings and an entertainment venue.
Most recently, Hans served as manager of business development for JW Industries, LLC for 15 years, helping lead sustained growth and bolster the company’s position in the sports construction market. Prior to that, he was an independent sales representative with Parks & Recreation Products, a Wisconsin sales representative for Musco Lighting and a sales representative for Monopanel Technologies.
Dedicated to community involvement, Hans has sat on numerous boards of Wisconsin nonprofit and faith-based organizations, including the Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee. He holds bachelor’s degrees in business management and sports management from Concordia University, Nebraska.
