North Shore Development Partners adds principal

Matt Alexander

Long-time Minnesota commercial real estate executive Matt Alexander has joined North Shore Development Partners and its affiliate North Shore Contractors as principal.  Wayzata, Minnesota-based North Shore is a real estate company that acquires existing real estate properties and develops new assets in the greater Twin Cities. 

Alexander will help oversee North Shore’s development strategy, investment opportunities, acquisitions and asset management, as well as the development of the firm’s mixed-use real estate developments, multi-family housing and single-family rental subdivisions.  He joins company Partners David Juran and Todd Urness and Principal Katelyn Murray.

Alexander comes to North Shore from Kraus-Anderson Realty and Development, where he served as senior vice president.  At Kraus-Anderson, he oversaw the development of notable projects including CityPlace, a 100-acre, mixed-use development in Woodbury; The Larking, a mixed-use development and 341-unit residential complex in downtown Minneapolis; 590 Park, an upscale 92-unit apartment complex in St. Paul; Chamberlain Apartments, a 316-unit complex in Richfield; and Moda Apartments, a 220-unit multi-housing development in St. Paul.

Alexander is a member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association, International Council of Shopping Centers and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
