Maren Lapham, a 17-year expert in commercial real estate and fund-raising, has joined Northmarq as Managing Director – Investor Relations for the company’s recently-launched investment fund business in its Minneapolis office.
Lapham has extensive experience in real estate capital markets, most significantly as managing director and head of investor relations at Pine River Capital Management. More recently, she managed industrial development projects and the procurement of debt and equity at Endeavor Development.
Northmarq announced it was entering the fund management business earlier this year in response to market and producer demand and as a complement to its existing debt & equity, investment sales, and loan servicing businesses. Its first fund is targeting preferred equity and mezzanine loan offerings predominantly in the multifamily and industrial asset classes.
Lapham earned her Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College and her MBA from the University of Minnesota. She has served on the committee for the Minneapolis Chapter of 100 Women in Finance since 2018 and is a CAIA Charterholder.
