In the largest new office lease in the last four quarters in downtown Milwaukee, Northwestern Mutual will become the newest tenant at the 411 East Wisconsin Center.
The financial-services company will occupy 56,320 square feet of Class-A space on the seventh and and eighth floors of the downtown Milwaukee building. It will also occupy space on the lower-level concourse area of the building.
Northwestern Mutual is making the move to accommodate its growing workforce.
The 411 East Wisconsin building will also be getting a $17.5 million redevelopment starting near March 1. The renovation will provide an updated elevator system, HVAC system, lobby, roof and parking structures.
Jim Cavanaugh and Matt Hunter with CBRE and Steve Palec with Cresa brokered the deal. The move will boost the occupancy of the 30-story high-rise building from 78 percent to 86 percent.
