Pine Tree growth continues into 2020 with five new hires

Northbrook, Illinois-based Pine Tree, LLC announced the hiring of five new staff members. Joining the full-service retail real estate company are John Figueroa, MS-HRM, director of human resources; Nicholas Kohlmann, asset manager; Jessie Pomper, graphic design and marketing specialist; Tom Seurynck, enterprise analyst and Kaylynn Espinoza, associate property manager.

Before joining Pine Tree as director of human resources, Figueroa served as vice president of human resources at Sterling Bay, in Chicago. He built Sterling Bay’s HR department from the ground up and looks forward to developing Pine Tree’s growing team. He brings extensive experience in multi-site and multi-state human resources serving the commercial real estate and hospitality industries.

Kohlmann joins Pine Tree as asset manager from Brixmor Property Group in Chicago, where he played a key role in improving the group’s Midwest portfolio. In his new role, Kohlmann will help oversee Pine Tree’s expanding portfolio of shopping center assets with a focus on strategic planning and optimizing performance in coordination with the company’s leadership team and the assets’ stakeholders.

Seurynck returns to Pine Tree as an enterprise analyst after working with Regency Centers as senior manager, financial services. He brings nearly a decade of experience in analyzing and evaluating retail investment opportunities to his new position.

Before joining Pine Tree as graphic designer and marketing specialist, Pomper worked in business development for Guaranteed Rate in Chicago. She looks forward to putting her journalism and graphic design skills to work for Pine Tree, and growing along with the company.

A Columbia College Chicago graduate, Espinoza brings communication, sales and marketing experience to her new position as associate property manager. She will handle tenant relations and provide assistance with operations and business development across multiple Illinois properties.
