The Pizzuti Companies and partner PCCP, LCC, have broken ground on two speculative industrial buildings totaling more than 500,000 square feet in the firm’s master-planned Rickenbacker West Industrial Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Work is in progress on Rickenbacker West II, a 277,692-square-foot building and Rickenbacker III, a 261,402-square-foot building. Designed for both single- and multi-tenant users, the buildings are divisible to meet each user’s specific needs.
Situated on a 40-acre site, the buildings feature 32-foot clear heights, LED lighting, a 15-year, 100 percent tax abatement, and direct access from Alum Creek Drive. Rickenbacker West is located adjacent to Pizzuti’s master planned CreekSide Industrial Center and is minutes from Rickenbacker International Airport.
Since 1998, Pizzuti has developed more than 12 million square feet of build-to-suit and speculative warehouse space in the Rickenbacker submarket. Spanning approximately 500 acres, CreekSide and Rickenbacker West are now fully developed.
Rickenbacker West includes a 1.6-million-square-foot build-to-suit for Whirlpool; an 800,000-square-foot Quaker Distribution Center; a 600,000-square-foot PetSmart Distribution Center; and a 300,000-square-foot ANDA Pharmaceutical facility. CreekSide projects have ranged in size from a 29,374-square-foot facility for VSP to a 766,795-square-foot, build-to-suit distribution center for Continental Tire.
Both Rickenbacker West II and III are scheduled for completion Q2 2020.
