Brian Kirksey, a real estate appraisal practice leader at Southfield, Mich.-based Plante Moran, has been elected board chair for the State of Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers.
Kirksey, who practices in the firm’s forensic and valuation services group, will serve a one-year term as chair. He was originally appointed as a board member in 2010 by former Gov. Jennifer Granholm, and has served as vice chair since 2012.
Kirksey joined Plante Moran in 2011 and focuses on many different aspects of real estate appraisal, consulting and sales throughout the United States and internationally. He advises a diverse clientele in easement rights and many types of real property including residential, commercial and industrial, senior care facilities, historic buildings, hospitality and resorts and vacant land.
