Plunkett Raysich Architects celebrated the ground-breaking on its latest project with Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, Mich.
Plunkett Raysich partnered with Miron Construction Co. on the addition and renovation project.
The project includes a 21,500-square-foot addition and 12,500 square feet of renovation work to the existing facility. The addition provides for a new inpatient environment, emergency department and improved access. The renovation includes improvements to surgery, inpatient therapy, endoscopy, outpatient and obstetrical services.
The project is expected to be complete by April of 2016.
