Poag Development Group invested more than $1.3 million into property improvements for the recently acquired RiverTown Crossings, a 1,267,272-square-foot super regional mall in Grandville, Michigan.
RiverTown Crossings is a two-story enclosed mall with five anchors including Macy’s, Kohl’s, JCPenney, Celebration Cinemas and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Poag purchased the property back in September due to its great location and strong position within the greater Grand Rapids area.
The $1.3 million in improvements include cleaning up and installing new, robust landscaping, fixing the merry-go-round running ahead of the holiday season, and significant repairs to the parking lot. Parking lot repairs include everything from paving and filing potholes to adding LED lighting and painting.
Poag aims to redevelop the enclosed mall into a mixed-use lifestyle center that includes not only retail, but restaurants, entertainment and potential residential and hotel uses. The Memphis-based developer is working with JLL, its strategic leasing partner, to maximize the potential of the property.
