PREMIER Design + Build Group has completed the Midwest Warehouse expansion project located at 2885 Diehl Road in Naperville.
The full-service logistics facility now spans 478,917 square feet, which includes the 177,357-square-foot office and warehouse expansion conducted by PREMIER Design + Build Group LLC. Increasing distribution efficacy and maximizing space functionality were key objectives of the expansion, enabling Midwest Warehouse to better meet the needs of their customers.
Midwest Warehouse is now equipped with 53 exterior truck docks built to accommodate cross-docking and promote increased distribution by maximizing inbound and outbound shipments while keeping interior floor space to minimum. The expansion offers them the ability to grow their operation by 30 new employees and to handle a higher volume of trucks each day.
A 6,200-square-foot segment of the expansion includes office accommodations, providing Midwest Warehouse with an additional three private offices, two separate break rooms, an open office area, restrooms and a conference room. Also featured, is a separate area exclusively for maintenance and repairs. The exterior is constructed of a precast façade and glass exterior walls.
Joe Ahrens of PREMIER Design + Build is the project manager overseeing the development and Scott Lebak is the project superintendent. Cornerstone Architects Ltd. is delivering architectural services and Jacob & Hefner Associates Inc. is the civil engineer.
