Principle Construction hires Rob Gibbons as senior project manager

James A. Brucato and Mark E. Augustyn, owners of Principle Construction Corp., announced that their firm has hired Rob Gibbons, PE, as a senior project manager. In his new role, Gibbons will be providing direction for several projects including a tenant improvement in Buffalo Grove, Illinois and a speculative office in Romeoville, Illinois.

“Rob has worked on a wide variety of different projects and is a licensed professional engineer in 12 states,” said Mike Long, vice president of Principle. “His experience should add a great perspective to the growing team at Principle.”

Throughout his career, he has managed the construction of projects including entire subdivisions of single-family homes, apartment buildings, industrial facilities up to 1 million square feet, wastewater treatment plants, road improvements and a 135-turbine wind farm. Gibbons once served as the city engineer for the town of Collierville, Tennessee, which was the fastest-growing town in the state at the time. He has worked in Georgia, Oklahoma, Indiana, Iowa, Tennessee and Illinois throughout his career.

Gibbons holds bachelor’s degrees in engineering and biology from the University of Memphis. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Society of Professional Engineers and the Transportation and Development Institute. Outside of his work, he is a musician and enjoys racquetball, sailing, scuba diving and golf.
