Proper Title, LLC is broadening its Chicagoland footprint. The full-service title insurance firm serving the commercial and residential real estate industry, has expanded its Chicago Loop office and opened a new location in St. Charles, Illinois.
Located at 180 N. LaSalle Street, the Loop office now has 9,700 square feet and 12 closing rooms. The office has a clean, modern design with ebony conference tables and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking downtown Chicago. Large photos of professional sporting events from Chicago photographer Charles Cherney line the walls throughout the space, reinforcing one of Proper Title’s goals of peak performance.
“We’re dedicated to providing attentive service and a comfortable environment for our clients,” said David Garside, executive vice president of title and escrow operations at Proper Title. “The Loop office is one of our busiest, and its central location places us near many of our real estate attorney clients. The expansion was needed to meet the increased demand we’ve experienced over the past few years.”
A surge in requests for a closing location in Chicago’s far west suburbs also led to the opening of a temporary, 1,200-square-foot office with two closing rooms at 440 S. 3rd Street in St. Charles. While Proper Title plans to move to a larger space in the future, the firm wanted to accommodate clients and the increased demand in that area as soon as possible.
“In an effort to be responsive to our clients, we decided to open an office before a permanent solution was found,” said Garside. “This will allow us to meet the needs of our customers while we search for a larger space.”
Launched in 2013, Proper Title received the “Excellence in Action” award from Fidelity National Title Group, Inc. for the fifth year in a row. In addition to the offices in the Loop and far west suburban St. Charles, Proper Title also offers closing locations in Chicago’s Bucktown and Irving Park neighborhoods, as well as Palatine, Northbrook and Libertyville. The title company also expanded its presence last year in west suburban Oak Brook with a move into a larger office as well as its offering of remote closings to attorney clients.
