Qualtrics, a leader in customer experience and creator of the experience management category, will open its 25th global office in Chicago. The company, headquartered in Provo, Utah and Seattle, will occupy 25,000 square feet at 191 N. Wacker Drive when the lease commences in 2020. The company plans to hire more than 200 employees in the area—mostly in client success, sales, support and delivery and implementation.
Colliers International’s Michael Finley, Evan Djikas and Kyle Hundelt represented Qualtrics in the transaction. Christine Choi Moore and J.D. Strode with Manulife Investment Management represented building management.
“Qualtrics’ presence adds to the growing tech ecosystem in Chicago. Occupying more than 25,000 square feet will help them to better serve their customers in the area,” said Djikas, executive vice president, Colliers Chicago. “We are excited to be part of the process of helping them grow.”
With access to River North’s restaurants, as well as proximity to Metra Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station, 191 N. Wacker Drive presents an ideal location for the fast-growing company. Most importantly, it puts Qualtrics near many of its more than 250 customers in the Chicago area.
“The Chicago talent pool is exceptional and we couldn’t be more excited to establish our Midwest hub in this city,” said Michael Shields, global procurement, real estate and facilities leader, Qualtrics.
Developed by Hines and built in 2003, 191 N. Wacker Drive is 37-story, class A office tower with approximately 731,000 square feet of rentable space. It is managed by Manulife Investment Management, which recently upgraded the lobby, fitness center and conference center. Other amenities on-site include parking, ATM and Specialty’s Café.
