Reed Construction has completed the 45,000-square-foot build-out for Westwood College within 1 N. State St. in Chicago.
Westwood College is an institution of higher learning founded in Denver in 1953. Today, Westwood has 14 campuses across California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Texas and Virginia as well as an online campus. Reed Construction completed the 45,000-square-foot build-out on behalf of the higher education institution, which included the addition of classrooms, computer labs, design labs and staff offices. The new facility also features a career services center, a learning commons space, server rooms and a student common area.
The construction team was led by Executive Vice President Scott Pickands, Project Manager Christine Roche and Senior Project Superintendent Robert Marks of Reed Construction. Atul Karkhanis Architects Ltd. provided the architectural services.
