Reed Construction has completed a 12,000-square-foot fitness center at 540 W. Madison in Chicago. The 31-story office complex is centrally located in the West Loop, and also houses a 50,000 square foot data center and landscaped roof garden terrace, among other amenities.
Reed Construction was selected by property manager JLL to convert an existing kitchen and dining area into a state-of-the-art fitness center. The newest building amenity features anti-vibration floor mats, floor-to-ceiling glass partitions, custom millwork and expansive views of the city. Tenants with a fitness membership now have access to a full range of equipment, personal training sessions and various classes at no extra charge. Reed also constructed locker rooms for men and women with high-end steam showers.
Mahoney led the construction team for Reed and Jim Rubel was the project superintendent. Architectural services were provided by Perkins+Will.
