RJM Construction, a Minneapolis-based general contractor, has been selected by Carousel Motor Group to build a new facility for its Porsche of Minneapolis dealership. Located at 9595 Wayzata Blvd. in Golden Valley, Minn., the new Porsche of Minneapolis building will be built on the parking lot of the existing dealership location. The dealership will remain open during construction.
At 31,000 square feet, Porsche of Minneapolis will be increasing its size by 18,000 square feet over its existing facility. The new building will include an expanded showroom and the repair shop. Using materials that incorporate the latest Porsche brand features, the building will include an exterior metal facade, a curtain wall system and interior finishes with Porsche signature colors.
Construction will begin in October of 2014 and will be complete by July of 2015. RJM Construction also provided pre-construction services to the project.
Baker Associates has been selected as the project architect. Previously, RJM Construction worked with Carousel Motor Group to build a new facility for North Branch Chevrolet in North Branch in 2013.
