Schafer Richardson celebrated the grand opening of Croft at Rosecott, a 164-unit affordable housing community at the intersection of Akron Avenue and Connemara Trail in Rosemount, Minnesota.
Croft marks the successful completion of Phase 1 in a two-phase development by Schafer Richardson. Phase 2, known as Copper at Rosecott, broke ground in April and will add 145 market-rate apartment homes to the growing Rosemount community. Together, these two phases reflect Schafer Richardson’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, mixed-income housing.
The four-story Croft development features one level of underground parking and offers a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes. Of the 164 units, 25 are reserved for households earning at or below 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI), with the remaining units available to households earning up to 60% of AMI. Croft offers a robust suite of amenities, including a club room with kitchen, multi-purpose assembly space, work-from-home areas, fitness center, kids’ zone, teen lounge, and a movie theater. Residents also benefit from automated package delivery and dedicated bike storage.
Croft was designed by UrbanWorks Architecture and constructed by Bauer Design Build. The project received funding from Colliers Securities, U.S. Bank Trust Company, the City of Columbus, Huntington Bank, the Dakota County Community Development Agency, and Greater Minnesota Housing Fund. The community welcomed its first residents in May 2025 and is currently 84% leased. Leasing and property management services are provided by Bader Companies.
