Cushman & Wakefield represented TrueBlue, a global leader in specialized workforce solutions , in an 83,000 square foot lease for their new office space at Chicago’s Old Post Office. The Tacoma, Washington-based company, whose local operations are currently located Goose Island, is expected to move into their new offices at 433 W. Van Buren Street in early 2021.
Cushman & Wakefield will also be handling full project management of the space, which is located on the fourth floor south of the Post Office. TrueBlue was represented by Cushman & Wakefield’s executive managing director, Jack Keenan.
“Having a long history of working with TrueBlue and seeing them go from a few thousand square feet to where they are today is a testament to their solid growth strategy,” said Keenan. “Not only will the Post Office location provide a state-of-the-art space and modern amenities but will offer the company access to a rich talent-base in the Loop and W. Loop areas.”
New-York-based 601W Companies is in the midst of an $800 million renovation on the 2.8 million-square-foot, Art Deco building. Gensler is leading the design efforts, Bear Construction is the general contractor and The Telos Group is the brokerage tasked with bringing tenants to the rejuvenated property. In 2019, Cushman & Wakefield represented companies AbelsonTaylor and 84.51 in their new leases at the Old Post Office. Other confirmed tenants include Ferrara Candy, which moved in last October, Uber, Cboe, Walgreens and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, among others.
