Sterling Bay’s Scott Goodman steps down from joint leadership position with Andy Gloor

Sterling Bay‘s Scott Goodman, co-founder of the Chicago-based firm, has stepped down from his role of founding principal, according to Crain’s, who first reported the story.

Goodman and Sterling Bay Managing Principal, Andy Gloor, shared leadership responsibilities and while Gloor will continue to lead the 130-person firm , Goodman will now hold the title of chairman emeritus.

The firm could not be reached for comments, however, Crain’s reports that there was no explanation as to Goodman’s plans or why he decided to step away.

Crain’s reports that Goodman did, however, make a statement on his decision:

“This was not an easy decision but it’s the natural progression of growth,” he stated. “I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished here over the yeras and am thrilled to be in a position to continue contributing to the success of Sterling Bay.”
