The seniors housing sector still a busy one in the commercial real estate industry.

The senior housing market is booming throughout Minnesota and the country. But that doesn’t mean that this industry doesn’t face challenges. Like all commercial real estate sectors, the senior housing industry is dealing with rising interest rates, supply chain disruptions, soaring materials costs and a labor shortage.

How are the developers, managers and brokers in this space overcoming these challenges? That will be addressed during Minnesota Real Estate Journal’s 16th annual Senior Housing Summit.

The summit, being held Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. until noon at the Golden Valley Country Club, will feature the biggest names in the senior housing industry discussing the biggest topics facing this industry.

Speakers will focus on local and national market trends, the operational challenges facing senior housing, the benefits brought by new technology and the latest trends in the development, construction and design of senior housing facilities.

Speakers include Anna Mowry from Leading Age, Brenda Johnson from Ebenezer, Jamie Korzan from Oppidan Investment Company, Christina Soma from Pope Architects, Kurt Apfelbacher from Colliers and many more.

The event will be held at the Golden Valley Country Club at 7001 Golden Valley Road in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Minnesota Real Estate Journal has applied for four hours of real estate continuing education credits with the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce and Minnesota Department of Commerce.
