Minnetonka, Minn.-based Opus Development Corporation recently announced a long-term lease agreement by Union Supply Company, Inc., for 315,534 square feet in building seven at Opus Business Center at Rickenbacker, a business park located in Groveport, Ohio.
“Completing this transaction is a testament to the improving activity in the Columbus industrial market,” said John Cumming, vice president and general manager of Opus Development Corporation.
Rancho Dominguez, Calif.-based Union Supply Co’s rapid growth drove the need for more space and the move to the Class-A, 496,000-square-foot industrial distribution center. The company is scheduled to occupy the building in the fourth quarter of 2011.
Representative brokers for this transaction include San Diego-based McKinney Brokerage Group for Union Supply Co. and Rick Trott, Mike Hurd and Kevin McGrath from Cassidy Turley on behalf of the building owner.
Opus has developed seven buildings totaling 3.6 million square feet in the Opus Business Center at Rickenbacker. Other tenants include Xerox, Cardinal Health, Specialized Bicycles, Exel, Medline Industries, Yokahama Tire, DEX Corporation and Nothing Over a Dollar.
Additionally, Opus has 50 acres of land at Opus Business Center at Rickenbacker that is available for build-to-suit projects.
