Steve Jackson, technical manager for NB West Contracting Co. in St. Louis, recently received his professional engineering license certificate at a special ceremony held in Missouri’s capitol rotunda in Jefferson City, Mo. Jackson, along with 13 other newly licensed professionals, was recognized by the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers for his accomplishment.
At NB West Contracting Co., Jackson oversees mix design, quality control, environmental monitoring and permit compliance, and other operations at the company’s three asphalt plants in Sullivan, Pacific and House Springs, Mo. Additionally, he is responsible for the company’s recycling efforts as one of the state’s leaders in the re-use of asphalt pavement and asphalt shingles. He joined the company in 2007, and has been involved in the construction and paving industry for more than two decades.
