The Opus Group promotes Anne Marie Solberg to vice president and general counsel

The Opus Group (Opus) has promoted Anne Marie Solberg to vice president and general counsel. In her new role, Solberg is responsible for providing legal guidance and advice to all companies and associates within Opus, as well as overseeing the work of outside law firms.

With nearly 30 years of experience in real estate and construction law, Solberg has been an integral member of the Opus legal team since 2013. Previously, as senior associate general counsel, she managed the legal department and provided strategic legal counsel organization-wide, working collaboratively with senior leaders and project leaders on behalf of Opus.

Solberg succeeds Tom Hoben, who recently retired after serving as vice president and general counsel for 13 years at Opus. He joined Opus in February of 2000.

Prior to joining Opus, Solberg spent several years in private practice at Parsinen Kaplan Rosberg & Gotlieb (now Barnes & Thornburg) where she served Opus as outside counsel. She also was an attorney at Briggs and Morgan (now Taft) and Oppenheimer (now Fox Rothschild).

Solberg holds a law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
