With activity in the marketplace kicking up, industrial real estate professionals will gather at the 9th Annual CIP Industrial Summit at the Oak Brook Marriott on Friday, June 8. The event is hosted by Chicago Industrial Properties and Real Estate Publishing Group.

The event will kick-off with Keith Stauber, executive managing director, Jones Lang LaSalle, sitting down with Jeremy Giles, president, Central Region, Prologis. It was just one year ago that ProLogis and AMB merged to for Prologis. Stauber and Giles will talk about the overall industrial marketplace and Prologis’ plans after the merger.

Following the discussion between Stauber and Giles, some of the big names in the industry will talk about the state of the market. The panel will be moderated by John Coleman of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. Panelists will include Tim Hennelly, Ryan Companies US, Inc.; Paul Fisher, CenterPoint Properties; Dan Leahy, NAI Hiffman; David Harker, First Industrial; and David Bercu, Colliers International.

“A marketplace like Chicago mandates that the big names—companies and individuals—come out and participate in our annual summit,” said Mark Menzies, publisher, Real Estate Publishing Group (and Chicago Industrial Properties). “We are pleased to have been able to tap into some of the great names—and minds—in industrial real estate!”

Two other panels will be featured at the 9th annual summit. The first will look at how things are changing on the development, architecture, construction and retrofitting front as the industry looks to “build the better big box. The final panel will examine more closely the investment trends taking place in the market.

Among the speakers confirmed to date are Chuck Canale, Colliers International; Howard Green, Meridian Design Build; Michael Sullivan, Peak Construction; Karl Heitman, Heitman Architects; Tony Oss, Larson Danielson; Adam Tarantur, Podolsky Northstar CORFAC International; Peter Harwood, Jones Lang LaSalle; Erik Foster, Avison Young; Ken Szady, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank; Mark Goode, VentureOne; and Ryan Stoller, KTR.

Registration for the event is $59 and can be completed online at www.rejournals.com/conferences, or by calling Debbie DeWolf at 312-644-2804.
