Westmount Realty Capital LLC has bought a 1.5-million-square-foot industrial portfolio in Chicago from New York-based private-equity firm KTR Capital Partners L.P.
The portfolio consists of eight warehouses near O’Hare International Airport: 2401 Lunt Ave. and 801 Chase Ave. in Elk Grove Village; 6100 Howard St. in Niles; 1400-1470 Norwood Ave. in Itasca; 3701-3479 N. 25th Ave. in Schiller Park; 3030 Cullerton St. in Franklin Park; 6700 South Sayre Ave. in Bedford Park; and 4404 W. Ann Lurie Place in Chicago.
Combined, the eight buildings are 97 percent leased, according to Westmount. The five largest tenants occupy 59 percent of the space: Jewel-Osco, Hearthside Food Solutions LLC, Hall’s Rental Service, Revolution Dancewear and Gold Eagle Co.
Westmount, which also invests in office, retail and apartments, now owns about 12 million square feet of warehouses, according to the company.
