Wight & Company, a leading Design & Delivery firm, announced that three of its architectural designers have been elevated to the position of vice president. Michael Lubbers, AIA, LEED AP, has been named Vice President and will continue in his role as Creative Director for the firm. Lubbers has 21 years of experience and has been a design leader based in the firm’s Chicago office since 2008. “Michael has a natural ability to establish a strong and lasting project vision,” said Mark Wight, President and CEO at Wight & Company. “His ability to absorb, understand and seamlessly translate a client’s needs into effective design solutions makes him an invaluable resource for Wight & Company and for the success of our clients,” said Wight. Lubbers earned his BFA at Calvin College and a Master of Architecture at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Andrew Joseph, AIA, LEED AP, and Craig Siepka, AIA, LEED AP, have both been elevated to the position of Vice President/Design Principal. A core member of the Wight & Company design team, Joseph previously served as Senior Design Architect. Joseph has more than 40 years of experience with a broad array of project types. Higher education design and medical facility planning have been key areas of focus during his career. “Andy’s creative and analytical skill set is both broad and deep,” explained Kevin Havens, Senior Vice President/Design Director at Wight & Company. “He excels at everything from facility needs assessment to detailed design, and has the expertise to successfully guide client projects from initial concept through construction completion.” Joseph earned his Bachelor of Architecture from University of Notre Dame.

Siepka, previously PK-12 Design Leader, has 21 years of experience in educational design. Siepka has a highly collaborative management approach and “views architecture as a team sport,” said Brad Paulsen, Vice President/PK-12 Education Practice Leader at Wight & Company. “Craig has created numerous design solutions of varying complexity that demonstrate a keen sensitivity to the needs of today’s students and educators, while emphasizing the importance of strong environmental stewardship.” Siepka earned both his BFA and his Master of Architecture at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
