Wingspan Development Group joined local officials and project partners Nov. 1 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for The Ruby at Brookfield Square, a 231-unit luxury apartment community in Brookfield, Wisconsin, 10 miles west of Milwaukee.

The building is nearly 30% leased, and first move-ins took place Oct. 2. The community, which features two four-story buildings connected by a skybridge, is the first new Class-A rental in Brookfield since 2019.

Located at 365 S. Moorland Road near the Interstate 94 interchange, The Ruby at Brookfield Square is adjacent to Brookfield Square Mall – a recently renovated regional mall – and a short drive to the popular Blue Mound retail district, as well as the Brookfield Hills Golf Club. A new hotel and conference center are across the street. The Ruby also is convenient to several major employers in nearby office buildings on Executive Drive and in Brookfield Lakes Corporate Center and Bishop’s Woods Office Park.

The Ruby at Brookfield Square includes a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 381  to 1,407 square feet. Residences feature 9-foot ceilings, in-unit washer/dryers, plank flooring and kitchens with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. Private balconies or patios are included with most units.

Amenities are designed to incorporate a live/work/play lifestyle, with outdoor amenities such as a resort-style pool with cabanas, grilling stations and dog park, while indoor offerings include a 24-hour fitness center, yoga studio, pet spa, entertainment lounge, golf simulator, business center with coworking space and a demonstration kitchen. In addition, residents have access to on-site storage units, all-in-one security access, a package room, car-charging stations, a bike/ski storage and repair room, plus more.
