Morgan/Harbour Construction Co. has been selected as the general contractor for a new 264,847-square-foot, build-to-suit warehouse/distribution facility in Elwood on behalf of project developer, CenterPoint Properties.
The new build-to-suit facility project features 32-foot clear heights, 28 dock positions and seven rail dock doors. Morgan/Harbour also will build-out a 3,000-square-foot area for office space. The new building will benefit from rail access that is available through a newly constructed spur. The site also will feature a scale house and a truck scale area for inbound and outbound truck weights.
Ben Warriner is the project executive and Scott Staros is the senior project manager for Morgan/Harbour. Cornerstone Architects is providing architectural services and Grivas Krause Associates is the structural engineer. Civil engineering services will be provided by Cowhey Manhard. The project is scheduled for completion in August of 2012.
